From its New York City laboratories, more than 75 ADARC scientists pursue understanding of the fundamental mechanisms by which HIV infects cells, invades the body and overwhelms its immunological defenses, and designing interventions to intercept its ability to multiply and spread. ADARC’s affiliation with The Rockefeller University provides opportunities for collaboration far beyond its size, and the Center’s scientists work closely with other leading AIDS researchers around the world. We practice a multidisciplinary approach - combining virology, immunology, molecular biology, genetics, evolutionary biology and clinical medicine - to leverage expertise and resources.
